Condolence: It was my honor and privilege to know Peggy Tobin. She touched my life in so many ways, and she absolutely hated it when I reminded her of our first encounter. It was 1981 when I was a sophomore at UW and I had to see Dean Tobin regarding an academic issue. Needless to say, I wasn't being recognized as the student of the year! I sat across from her with that big desk between us and she looked me in the eye and said "Yoing lady, there is a point in time that you must take responsibility for your actions, and that point in time is now!" Changed my life forever because never again did I want to face that lady's ire! And she was right! Years later, circumstancs brought us together as professionals and I was lucky enough to enjoy several of those St. Patrick's Day dinners in her home and spend time one on one with her discussing life. She was beautiful, generous of spirit, passionate in her beliefs, confident, and always the consummate lady - a friend and role model for us all. I will miss her dearly.
