Charles C. “Chuck” Rohwer, 85, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Chuck was born August 28, 1931, in Radium, Colorado, son of the late Dietrich and Clara (Scherer) Rohwer.
Chuck worked as the Assistant Director of the Public Service Commission for the State of Wyoming until his retirement at the age of 55. He was also a successful businessman, owning several businesses. His interests included hunting, fishing, and working in his pole barn. He will be remembered for his generosity and for his love of family.
Chuck is survived by son, Randy Rohwer (Susan Shiery); three grandchildren, Mark (Tara) Rohwer, Chad (Arecia) Rohwer, and Tristan Rohwer, and their mother, Janice Rohwer; four great-grandchildren, Damon, Meadow, Cherise and Gage; two nephews, Ted and Rick Durante; and best friend, Larry Harnish of Cheyenne.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maryann (Poe) Rohwer; two sisters; and one brother.
A memory service will be celebrated on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Beth El Cemetery.
