Mrs. Shirley M. (Richardson) Adams, 87, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Thursday October 27, 2011.

Mrs. Adams was born August 9, 1924, in Lockport, New York, a daughter of the late Burt C. and Marian (Robinson) Richardson.

Shirley worked in the home caring for her six children and husband, LeRoy. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoying camping, cooking, playing bridge, reading, traveling, attending daily mass and volunteering at church.

Shirley is survived by her six children, Karen Watson and husband, James, of Cary, NC, William Adams and wife, Jean, of Pharr, TX, David Adams and wife, Judy, of Cheyenne, Janet Gronski and husband, Mike, of Cheyenne, Anita Benton and husband, Alan, of Cheyenne, and Roy Adams and wife, Lori, of Littleton, CO; two sisters, Mary Richards of Lockport, NY, and JoAnne Mahan and husband, Bill, of Pittsburgh, PA; seventeen grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, LeRoy Adams; two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct 30th at 5:30pm at the Schrader Funeral Home with a Vigil for the Deceased to follow at 7:00pm at the Schrader Chapel. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, Oct 31st at 10:00am at the Holy Family Catholic Church on the F.E.Warren Air Force Base. Interment will be held at Olivet Cemetery. A reception will follow the interment.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting your expressions of sympathy be made to Shirley’s favorite charity, in Shirley’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

If access to Warren AFB is an issue, please inform Schrader Funeral Home at 307-634-1568. Please allow 30 minutes prior to the service on Monday to obtain a pass from the Visitors Center at the Main Gate.
