Obituary for Marilyn Kay Lange

Print
Marilyn K (Stuckey) Lange, 77, of Cheyenne WY passed away peacefully after a long illness with her family at her side on September 3, 2018.

She was born December 27, 1940 in Slayton MN to Percy and Avice Stuckey. She married William “Bill” Zynda on June of 1959 and they were blessed with three children before divorcing in 1976. She then married Patrick “Bruce” Lange on August 4, 1978. She was an account specialist for Wyoming Worker’s Compensation. In recent years, she attended Meadowbrooke Baptist Church when her health allowed.

Marilyn valued God, her family, and friends over everything else. She excelled in cooking, and adored camping and socializing with her loved ones. Marilyn emanated a peaceful and charismatic personality that drew people of all walks of life to her. She was able to get along flawlessly with everyone regardless of age or background, and possessed an uncanny ability to make others laugh. She felt everything with her whole heart, and cared deeply for those in her life.

All through her life, Marilyn was a nurturing, hardworking, and kind-hearted woman. She was a sacrificial mother, loyal to her loved ones, and could always be depended on. Her dedication and attention to detail shined in everything she did.

Even when she was housed at the Life Care Center due to her declining health, most of the nurses and staff not only knew Marilyn, they loved her. She was always able to find a reason to smile and laugh despite the darkest of circumstances. Her bravery and elegance was admired by everyone she knew and she will remain an inspiration to everyone she left behind.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Wendy (Bill) Zynda-Pimentel of Cheyenne, WY, Perry (Leslie) Zynda of Fort Collins, CO, and Kip (Mary Jane) Zynda of Ipan, Talofofo, Guam; her grandchildren, Summer (Daniel) Born, Robert (Lindsey) Born, Jordan (Katrina) Born, Serena (Micah) Sneed, Kate Zynda, Ben Zynda, Jaden Zynda, Jenika Zynda, and Jamie (Dan) Kurtas; her great-grandchildren, Ashten Faunce, Miranda Born, Julianne Born, Jackson Born, and Sydney Rose Kurtas; her siblings, Stanley (Shirley) Stuckey, Berniece (Jerry) Kadolph, Ila Jean Beermann, Kathleen (Eugene) Henrickson; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Stuckey; and her beloved friend, Lloyd Jewell.

She was preceeded in death by her parents; husband; her siblings, Frank Stuckey and Alan Stuckey; her sister-in-law, Lois Stuckey; and her brother-in-law, Vern Beermann.

Pastor Dan Nelson will officiate the service being held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon, and Jacoby Funeral Home, followed by a reception in the Schrader Reception Center.
